Leverage Your Heart…

Hey There,

I want to share a special moment with you. This weekend we went to visit our block of land and decided to swim in the community pool for the first time. My eldest put googles on for the first time and was able to see underwater. So we both went under and as we surfaced, he told me that “Daddy, you look Chinese”. Classic. It’s interesting watching the kids grow up and seeing what friends they attract. I’ve noticed my boys get on well with most kids but always seem to have better connections with other “hybrid” kids. And there’s lies our first lesson…

Where is the love? Everything seems to move so fast these days that people get caught up in the illusion and distractions and forget to look in their mirror for life. If you truly believe you have everything you need to succeed right now, what is holding you back? I know it may be too confronting but I promise you it will put you on the path to freedom. Your next step towards freedom may be the most important step you take.

You see, I love the entrepreneurial lifestyle. But I’m also aware of the risks, ego and pride that comes with it. I’ve consulted with many clients and find it increasingly frustrating that people are prepared to build their wealth foundations on lies and not truth. You see, work molds your character, gives you depth and allows you to magnify who you already are. In a cluttered world of “sameness”, you gain power when you have the clarity to “differentiate” yourself from the crowd. Remember, you must “carve” your space in a crowded marketplace.

I’ve advised many clients to focus on the education/training side, provide a service or create a platform for the people because I feel you can make a difference in these areas. As soon as you promise you can make people riches by pushing buttons, outsmarting “google” or taking huge amounts of money, you start to disconnect with the “real” world and begin to live in your “own” reality. Social media has been a great leveler as it requires work to build a relationship and those who make an effort, will reap the rewards over time.

The truth is many super successful and high achievers have very few real friends and virtually no support. As Bill Glazer says, “Being an Entrepreneur is the loneliest job in the world” and I understand what he means. Many people don’t get “us” but it’s not their job to understand us or our values. It’s our responsibility to communicate our values through a “bridge” that binds their minds and hearts. I’m constantly working to build a network of progressive like-minded people to participate in Masterminds because I believe they are the future.

While business can provide great opportunities to solve problems and build capital for entrepreneurs prepared to take the risks, sometimes I feel that the business brain can disconnect “you” and destroy your soul. Business can rape the soul of a human being because you begin to put profit before people and chase opportunities that are not in alignment with your core business. Sometimes I feel, business people forget their feelings and become a machine driven for growth and profit at all costs. Heart and emotions are transformed to numbers and strategies. The desire for leverage is conflicted with having the resources and structure to adapt to the growing business.

Leverage is a word that is often abused in our industry. People think it means doing less and achieving more. But what they don’t tell you is that it requires the accumulation of years of experience, knowledge and skill acquisition that allows you to work less and earn more. Achieving more with less is the key foundation of leverage and when you apply this principle in life, it will reward you. This emotional labour may not reward you financially but it impacts your life for years to come. However, many people want the no work, more money lifestyle and have been seduced it’s possible. And while it’s possible for those who make the mindset shift, many people fail to alter their behaviour and actions toward the the person they want to become.

The world between the entrepreneur and employee is a constant battle for respect, recognition and rewards. Entrepreneurs need to understand that some people are happy to work in a job, play their role and make a difference as part of a team. They don’t seek to be the star nor want their name in lights. They just want to make a difference. They want inspired leadership, congruency and faith that you will always listen to them.

On the other side of the fence, employees only see the turnover but don’t see the expenses. They don’t see the hours behind the scenes, the years of labour and the setbacks. While you finish work for the day, the reality is most entrepreneurs keep working and often with no pay. Just like speakers get jaded when they feel they don’t earn what they’re worth, so do employees. And it’s so important to look after key employees or team members who want to learn and grow with you.

Great entrepreneurs succeed with a great team. One of the best advice I got was as “always be hiring.” Even if you don’t need anyone. Keep a look out and find talented people because you never know when you will need them. After all, who doesn’t mind hanging around more positive people. The reason I love finding new talent is because I think we all have a message to share in the world and when you get the elements rights, great opportunities come across your path.

For example, recently John Anderson had a phone call with me and booked himself into the upcoming Gold Coast Mastermind. Upon speaking to him further, I discovered he had successfully engineered product launch sequences for some Australian clients. So I put him on the spot and told him if he wanted differentiate himself from every other internet marketer wannabe, then he should do a free day training for my mastermind members and guests. Talk about being put on the spot. Well, the good news is John has taken me up on the challenge and you get to benefit. I asked John to prepare a short FREE training for you and if you are interested in joining us for the FREE bonus day training, you can book yourself below. Remember, as we are recording this product, there will only be 15 seats available and John is happy to take questions at the end of the event. Don’t miss out on this unique training and finally discover what it takes to do a successful launch…
